Workshop – Self-Care for Caregivers of Persons of Neurodiversity

May 9 @ 7:00 pm

Caring for others means creating an intention to dedicate time, talent, and resources for others. It is the most important thing we do, yet as persons with our own needs, we may get overwhelmed and drained at times. Our neurodiverse loved ones benefit from the support that originates in a rested and balanced family life. While our culture is becoming more educated about the benefits of neurodiversity, we still face challenges that impact the whole family.

In this seminar workshop:

  1. Participants will consider their own self-care through a discussion of key concepts such as energy drain, boundaries, intentionality, small victories, parts, and experience.
  2. Participants will have the opportunity to share and ask questions. No questions or sharing is necessary. Listening to others is recognized as a form of learning.
  3. Participants will observe tapping or EFT/Emotional Freedom Technique demonstration and be encouraged to practice the technique as a way to conserve energy, create intentionality, and promote their own very important self-care.
