What We Do
Autism Open Mics
Band Together Pittsburgh has created an opportunity for those on the spectrum to create and perform music.
From family friendly open stages, to mentorship and support, BTP wants every individual to realize the joy of musical expression regardless of talent or skill level.
Live Performances
One of the most meaningful and exciting aspects for most musicians is performing in front of a live audience.
For that reason, we created opportunities for our Band Together Pittsburgh musicians to hit the stage.
From our Pittsburgh Blues & Roots Festival, to our BTP Featured Artists Concerts, and opening slots for professional bands, we encourage musicians on the spectrum to show off their great talent.
As a matter of fact, we can even produce an entire musical show for your school or organization consisting on 100% performers on the autism spectrum.
Professional DJ Music
Band Together Pittsburgh is thrilled to offer professionally trained DJs for your parties and events. Our talent pool of individuals on the Autism Spectrum continues to grow and continues to “Wow” us with their talents.
Like our performers, we support our DJs through training, equipment, securing gigs and transportation and support at events.

Drum Circles
Band Together Pittsburgh expanded their drum circle offerings as of January 2026, and now offers “The Mike Lange Memorial Drum Circle”.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Lange family, we were able to purchase enough festival drums to accommodate much larger groups. This has also allowed us to expand our outreach to include approved private schools and reach those in the community who are not able to attend school in their home districts due to the nature of their disability.
We are also offering drum circles to local school districts to work with their Unified Clubs providing inclusion. In addition to these offerings, we offer drum circles for anyone in the community at our Band Together Pittsburgh Club House on a regular basis.
The Clubhouse
The Band Together Clubhouse is located in the back room of Moondogs Pub & Music Venue (378 Freeport Rd., Blawnox, Pa. 15238).
We’ve created a safe space where everyone is welcome to just hang out and have fun.
The clubhouse has a variety of musical instruments, video games, and most importantly comfortable seating so folks can just talk and get to know each other.
Operational hours and special events will posted on a regular basis. Membership, snacks, and soft drinks, all at no charge.
The BTP Band
Our BTP Band was formed in 2025, and is comprised of young adults age 18+ who are seeking to move to the next level. The band not only focuses on music, but also on teamwork, and skill building.
Regular rehearsals are lead by Mike Berkey and Devin Russian. Both Mike and Devin have extensive experience in the music industry and Mike is also a music teacher at a local high school. In addition to regular rehearsals, the BTP Band also plays live gigs across the Pittsburgh area giving them the full musician experience.
BTP Scholarship Fund
The BTP Scholarship Fund helps families with young children or adults on the autism spectrum access musical instruments and lessons. This program is designed for those who lack financial resources but are dedicated to learning and growing through music.
