What We Do

Autism Open Mics

Band Together Pittsburgh has created an opportunity for those on the spectrum to create and perform music.

From family friendly open stages, to mentorship and support, BTP wants every individual to realize the joy of musical expression regardless of talent or skill level.

Live Performances

One of the most meaningful and exciting aspects for most musicians is performing in front of a live audience.

For that reason, we created opportunities for our Band Together Pittsburgh musicians to hit the stage.

From our Pittsburgh Blues & Roots Festival, to our BTP Featured Artists Concerts, and opening slots for professional bands, we encourage musicians on the spectrum to show off their great talent.

As a matter of fact, we can even produce an entire musical show for your school or organization consisting on 100% performers on the autism spectrum.

Spectrum Talent Showcase

Would you love to have a professional video recording of your performance at no cost to you?

Well, that is exactly what our Spectrum Talent Showcase does.

Professional DJ Music

Band Together Pittsburgh is thrilled to offer professionally trained DJs for your parties and events. Our talent pool of individuals on the Autism Spectrum continues to grow and continues to “Wow” us with their talents.

Like our performers, we support our DJs through training, equipment, securing gigs and transportation and support at events.

Live Concert Production

Band Together Pittsburgh’s program, “Live Concert Production,” is a remarkable initiative that empowers individuals on the autism spectrum by providing them with comprehensive training to become part of the production crew for live concerts.

This unique program offers individuals the opportunity to develop skills in sound engineering, lighting setup, and operating mixing consoles.

Through this program, participants can showcase their talents, contribute their expertise, and forge fulfilling skills in the world of live concert production.

Drum Circles

BTP Drum Circles are named after our dear friend and original Wild Cherry (Play That Funky Music White Boy) drummer Ron Beitle.

They are a great way for those on the spectrum to relax have fun, and develop interpersonal skills in a family friendly, inclusive environment.

Drum Circles are also therapeutic for anxiety.

The Clubhouse

The Band Together Clubhouse is located in the back room of Moondogs Pub & Music Venue (378 Freeport Rd., Blawnox, Pa. 15238).

We’ve created a safe space where everyone is welcome to just hang out and have fun.

The clubhouse has a variety of musical instruments, video games, and most importantly comfortable seating so folks can just talk and get to know each other.

Operational hours and special events will posted on a regular basis. Membership, snacks, and soft drinks, all at no charge.
